Cultural, Historical, and Public Facility Planning Projects – 2023
In 2023, Geoqazma MMC contributed to several projects focused on the restoration of cultural heritage, development of tourism infrastructure, and revitalization of public services in the liberated regions of Azerbaijan. Each of these projects carried architectural and strategic importance, combining modern engineering approaches with historical sensitivity.
-
Aghdam District – Shahbulag Fortress area:
For the restoration of this historically significant complex and surrounding tourism facilities, detailed geodetic measurements, terrain modeling, and environmental suitability assessments were conducted. Soil stability and load-bearing capacity were key factors in selecting construction areas. -
Fuzuli City – Memorial Complex and Victory Museum:
The project involved geological and geophysical surveys for the placement of the museum building and the memorial complex. Seismic and technical soil characteristics were analyzed. As the area is intended for public access, accessibility and ground durability were prioritized. -
Lachin City – Mosque Building:
For this religious and cultural structure, geotechnical and hydrogeological assessments were conducted to determine appropriate land for safe construction. The foundation’s stability and underground water levels were carefully analyzed. -
Shusha City – D-3 residential quarter and additional public-use buildings:
A comprehensive plan was developed for 21 multi-storey buildings and adjacent public-use buildings. Geodetic measurements and seismic risk analysis were carried out to ensure safety and integration with the historic urban structure.
These projects involved high-precision tools and techniques such as GNSS, total stations, and seismic sensors, which enabled Geoqazma to produce accurate engineering reports and digital maps for each site. All facilities were planned in a sustainable and culturally respectful manner.
